Have you googled yourself?
Go on, do it now ;-)
While you’re there, click on the images tab. Is that you from five, ten years ago?
Is that the face you want people to see when they find you online?
Entrepreneur.com and Huffington Post recently published articles about why personal branding and your web presence is so important. You are the face of your business, so it's important to convey your personality and friendliness to consumers who consider working with you and that they see you in good light in the material they find online.
The articles say that:
Out of all business decision makers, 84% start their buying process with a referral. And that Google is the very first place people look after getting a referral.
Of all Internet users, 65% see online search as the most trusted source of information about people and companies. That’s a higher level of trust than any other online or offline source.
53% of decision makers have eliminated a vendor from consideration based on information they did or did not find about an employee online.
Even when consumers have a referral, they start their buying process online. A terrific online presence lends credibility and gets customers excited while a bad or irrelevant online presence turns customers away. Let's make sure you are making an outstanding first impression online.
Let me portray you as you want the world to see you. Professionally and perfectly.
