Have you ever thought of having your dog at your family photoshoot? It sounds like a recipe for chaos… except, it’s not. It’s a whole heap of fun!

  1. Dogs are our family. They mean so much to us. You won’t take a family portrait without them, right?

  2. Generally speaking, people are not 100% comfortable in front of the camera. Having your dog in front of the lens with you, helps you relax quicker and feel at home.

  3. Dogs bring a fun energy to the photoshoot and we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

  4. Your photographer knows exactly how to get the best out of your dog, how to get them to sit and look in the right direction. This is the perfect chance for your dog’s portrait to be made. It’s a sad reality that they don’t live as long as we do, and this way we celebrate them while doing it.

  5. Our dogs bring out the silly and real in us. We make photos of you hugging and kissing and playing and petting. This makes awesome memories of your special bond and friendship that you will treasure for a really long time. All the little things you will love to remember how you played and stroke his/ her velvet ears.

  6. It’s your chance to have your dog and child(ren) photographed together. The family’s most perfect and innocent. They can be tricky together, but a bit of patience, doggy treats, squeaky sounds, clapping hands and sometimes even bubbles, we get their portrait made together.

  7. Your dog’s portrait can be printed and displayed in your home as a very special piece of art.

Lisa’s photoshoot was on her birthday! What a special way to spend the morning. She opted to have her and her little girl’s hair and makeup done (by Seb). It is such a fun girly experience, and the makeup and hair always boost my clients’ confidence levels before they step in front of the camera.

They brought their gorgeous british bulldog Mako to the photoshoot and we had a ton of laughs making their family portraits.

These are a few of my favs from their time in front of my lens

Lisa chose the portrait of Mako and Manaia together for their artmount. I’m really looking forward to seeing how she updates her gallery wall with her new portraits.
